In honor of QuiltCon, the modern quilt exhibition happening this weekend in Pasadena, I wanted to share some of my favorite modern quilts made with Arroyo fabric!
It’s been such a treat to see makers sharing their sewing projects on Instagram, and the quilt projects I’ve seen so far have been particularly impressive. The quilt above was made by Meghan Buchanan from Then Came June, using her original Sidewalk Chalk quilt pattern. I’m dying to make one of these for myself!
If you need some Arroyo fabric to sew your own modern quilt, you can find a list of fabric shops that stock Arroyo over on the Cotton & Flax website.
This stunning quilt was made by Suzy Quilts using her Fly Away quilt pattern.
This soft modern quilt was made by Kelli from The Willow Market, I love the way she combined different motifs.
Suzy Quilts made another modern quilt featuring subtle pattern, including Arroyo backing and binding!
I made this Rainbow Butterfly Quilt for an auction in 2017, using a rainbow of Arroyo colors.
Another cute one from Then Came June, in her Domino Quilt.
Arroyo played a small part in Carolyn Freidlander’s Eads Quilt!
I’ll always love the first quilt made with Arroyo — this beauty designed by Nichole Ramirez.
