I was honored to be invited by Join Design to exhibit my work at NY Now this week! It was an incredible experience, and I was delighted to finally return to New York to meet a new group of retail shop owners, see some familiar faces, and mingle with other designers and see their work in person.
It’s such a treat to have my work displayed alongside so many talented American designers. The Join Design booth is a curated group of emerging designers from the West Coast and beyond, and our work is rooted in craft and collaboration, which makes for a vibrant group.
More than anything, it’s just wonderful to see my work in relation to other modern designers, and to see how we connect and riff off of one another. Andrew Molleur‘s ceramic work was displayed near my tabletop goods, and the colors and geometric designs were a beautiful compliment to each other’s work.
I really enjoyed getting to know the other designers over the course of the four day show, including Melanie Abrantes, Christine from Materials + Process, Becky from Honey & Bloom, and Meagan from The Granite.
Thank you to all the wonderful shop owners, interior designers, and press who came to say hello during NY Now! I loved meeting you all, and I can’t wait to return to the show next year. Big thanks to JOIN Design for making this beautiful communal booth a reality!
