I’m Erin Dollar, the founder and maker-in-chief of Cotton & Flax. I create all the work for Cotton & Flax in my studio in California, where I design, print, and sew items for my shop. I’m obsessed with printmaking, textile design, snail mail, reading books, and geeking out about handmade culture in general. I try my best to be the put-together lady on the right, but most of the time I’m the overly excited, messy apron wearing printmaker on the left.
By creating a blog for Cotton & Flax, I hope to reveal the process, ideas, and ethics behind the items I create. I also hope to spend some time sharing the things that inspire me, explore the creative community of Los Angeles, and share ways to live thoughtfully and enjoy our homes to the fullest.
