I can’t believe the holiday season is already here! I wanted to take a moment to post Holiday shipping deadlines, so you’ll be sure to order in time for Christmas delivery. Please place your order before Dec. 18th for Christmas delivery to USA destinations, or by Dec. 1 for International Delivery.

I’m delighted to be taking the week off from my giant to-do list to spend some time with friends and family! While I’ll still be answering emails, and I have some sales announcements scheduled for the week ahead, all orders from the Cotton & Flax shop that are placed this week will ship out on Monday, Dec. 1st.

As a special holiday treat, all orders placed Thanksgiving week will ship with an extra gift: a set of hand-printed confetti gift tags! These tags will make your holiday gifts just a little more special, and are only available during the holiday season. No need to use a special coupon code or add anything extra to your cart – just place an order before Dec. 1, and you’ll get a free set of four gift tags added to your order.

Another favorite from the Fall/Winter collection are these Holiday Edition tea towels in special yarn-dyed chambray linen. I printed our ever-popular plus pattern onto blue and black chambray towels, made from our standard Linen/Cotton blend fabric. This fabric is long-wearing, absorbs water better than cotton alone, and only gets softer with age.

These new tea towels are printed in eco-friendly, non-toxic ink, and come with a corner tab for easy hanging in your kitchen, just like our standard tea towels. Later this month, I’ll be sharing more furoshiki gift wrap ideas for these towels, too!

These two new colors are available for a limited time – they are Holiday edition only, and so they’ll be leaving the shop after the new year. Grab one for your kitchen here!

One of my favorite new products from the Fall/Winter collection are the new forest green coasters. These beauties are made from our usual super-thick and durable 100% wool felt, which means they’ll protect your furniture from hot or cold beverages during this busy season of entertaining. The rich forest green color will be a great compliment to holiday decor. I love the idea of using these coasters for cocktail hour, or adding a pop of color to your dining table for a holiday feast.

The new Forest coasters come in two patterns – confetti or triangle. I love the confetti pattern for Winter, in particular, because it reminds me of snowfall and evergreen trees.

The Fall/Winter collection is finally here! I’ve got lots of fun new products to share, plus a beautiful lookbook shot by the talented Laure Joliet.

First up, some new coasters in a bold new color: Forest. I was excited to add a new color coaster to the mix for the first time in over a year. This Forest green color felt perfect for the season.

I’ve also got a new pattern in the mix, one that I’m calling Hills + Valleys. Depending on how you display this print, it looks like little hills, or repeating U shapes, thus, the descriptive name. As with all my other patterns, this design started as a sumi ink drawing, which I converted into a silkscreen to create multiples of this print.

Another fresh addition are these Holiday-edition tea towels, which are only available until January 2015! They are printed with the ever-popular Plus pattern design onto blue or black chambray, which instantly adds a handmade touch to any kitchen.

There are also some new, darker-hued colors of the plus pillow debuting with this collection: forest and navy. I love how sophisticated these pillows can look, especially when combined with leather seating.
