Love Patchwork and Quilting Magazine feature

Just received issue 56 of Love Patchwork & Quilting, and I’m excited to share that I was the featured designer in this month’s issue! In the interview, I share my experience working with Robert Kaufman Fabrics to launch Arroyo, and what it’s like to see modern quilters using my designs. Pick up a copy to read the full article — there’s amazing modern quilt patterns and tons on inspiration inside.

Cotton & Flax on CBS8!

December 5, 2017

Erin Dollar on CBS8 I was delighted to go on CBS-8 in San Diego yesterday morning to tell our city about Makers Arcade, the holiday sale that I’m participating in on Saturday! It was a great opportunity to remind our community to shop local, and to introduce myself to a wider audience in the city I’ve called home for almost a full year.

If you live in the San Diego area, stop by Makers Arcade this Saturday and say hello!

Seconds Coasters on Sale!

November 7, 2017

Cotton & Flax coasters on sale!

After doing a little bit of studio reorganization last week, I found a bunch of seconds coasters that I’ve just added to the shop! These coasters are just a little bit smaller than normal, about 3.75″ instead of 4″ square. They are in otherwise perfect condition, but I sell them at a 30% discount, because I’m a perfectionist. 🙂

There are very limited quantities, so don’t wait! Snag a great deal on these coasters, just in time for holiday entertaining.

Fabrics printed in the USA

September 12, 2017

Arroyo fabrics - printed in the USAI loved partnering with LA-based Robert Kaufman to create Arroyo, my first fabric collection. They have a fantastic network of US-based printing partners that they were able to coordinate with to print the entire collection domestically. The result is a beautiful collection of overprinted fabric, which looks just as bold and vibrant as my hand-printed fabrics.

One of the advantages of partnering with a US-based printer is a smaller carbon footprint, which works towards to my goal to strive for a greener studio environment. While international printers also create beautiful quality fabrics under ethical conditions, I feel confident that pushing for local manufacturing and production could create a big impact in terms of the textile industry’s effect on global warming, and I hope that I’ll get to partner with more USA production partners for future collaborations.

Arroyo fabrics now available in stores!

July 27, 2017

Arroyo fabric from Erin Dollar

I’m excited to see that Arroyo, my first fabric collection for Robert Kaufman fabrics, is beginning to appear in select fabric stores! So far I’ve gotten word from about a dozen shops directly that the fabric is in stock, including Bolt Fabrics in Portland, Oregon; Bijou Lovely in Iron Mountain, Michigan; and Fabric Bubb (online only).

I’ve created a partial list of stockists carrying Arroyo fabrics, and new shops will be added regularly. If you have a favorite fabric store in your area, stop by or give them a call to find out if they’re carrying Arroyo in their shop!
