Natural modern decorI love seeing the ways you style Cotton & Flax goods in your home! Here’s a peek into some of my recent favorite photos from customers on social media ⏤ thanks so much for tagging me in your photos of Cotton & Flax pieces. Do any of these real homes inspire you?

Above: Lauren Memarian‘s gorgeous modern home is my favorite style of modern decor: soft neutrals, pattern mixing, and tons of plants….

New drink coasters for the holidays

October 31, 2018

ice blue coasters - Cotton & FlaxNew for the holidays: confetti coasters in a brand new ice blue hue. 100% wool felt coasters keep your furniture safe from scratches and water damage, and add a pop of pattern to your table.

If you’ve been a fan of Cotton & Flax for long, you know we don’t release new colorways very often! This special blue hue just spoke to me — something about the grey heather wool felt too special to ignore.

For this photoshoot, I paired our new ice blue coaster with a sage green linen tablecloth from Iconic Linen. I get asked for linen tablecloth recommendations often, and this sage green one is my current fave. Pairs beautifully with our linen herringbone napkins for a holiday celebration!

Cotton & Flax pillow in modern bedroomI’m so inspired by the ways you add Cotton & Flax to your homes! Today I thought I’d round up some of my favorite photos you’ve shared on social media — thanks so much for tagging me in your photos of Cotton & Flax pieces. All these peeks into your homes make me want to redecorate!

Above: Ashley from The Gold Hive commissioned a custom throw pillow for her bedroom update, made from my charcoal grey Arroyo fabric. I love this restful space….

Grace Bonney’s custom Arroyo bench

October 8, 2018

Modern bench cushion - Design*SpongeCreative updates to vintage pieces can bring new life to a home. Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge used Arroyo fabric to create a beautiful custom cushion for her antique bench, which brings a fun modern accent to a more traditional space.

In her post about the project, Grace mentions that she and her wife Julia were excited to update their porch and create an inviting space for dinners together.

A little DIY and $100 in a few extra pieces and Julia and I updated our front porch and turned it into a space that makes us excited to eat outside and soak up the summer… I love when an afternoon project turns a space you weren’t using into one you now can’t wait to use.

I love that my fabric played a small part in creating this charming space.

Inspired to create something with my fabrics? Find Arroyo in a fabric store near you!

January Inspiration

January 25, 2018

Black and white bedroom decor - Cotton & Flax inspirationSo inspired by the gorgeous black and white decor in Lauren Memarian‘s home. Her ability to keep her plants healthy is admirable, too. As if I weren’t already in love, I spy a Cotton & Flax Zig Zag pillow on her bed!

A few other things that sparked my imagination this month:

Loved seeing the NY Times feature Justina’s recipe for a feel good home.

Are you doing any spring cleaning? Ashley from The Gold Hive KonMari-ed her closet, and shared the process on Instagram Live.

Listening to Jessica’s Marbury Mix in the studio as we speak.

Really transfixed by the connections between quilters and abstract expressionists! If you live in NYC, I’d recommend going to see this show before it closes this weekend!

Picked up a copy of The Secret Lives of Color at the library, going to dive in this weekend!
